How did you learn about this Seine Bight Website? Google - search "Seine Bight"

Comments:

This site is a great help.  What I couldn't find is any info on the best times to see some traditional drumming and dance.  I will be there in May and I hope to experince as much of your culture as I can!  Another good page might be a quick guide to services that visitors may need.  I saw the hotel/club page but it looks incomplete and I was also interested in the grocery store (hours) and shops to buy local art and crafts.

Thanks for a colorful and informative site! See you in 5 short weeks!

Well first off, I am a student at St. John's College in Belize city, and I had a book report to do on a historical event in Belize. I chose the Garifuna because they are one of the most prominent ethnic groups in Belize. Despite the struggles, they make a conscious effort to pass on their tradition and make their culture known to everyone.  Keep up the excellent job and let's take Belize to its full potential.

Hello Seine Bight'ers,

I was really very pleasantly surprised to read your website. It gave me a warm feeling here in the cold Netherlands. I didn't know your village but now I love your village and I will follow all the news in future. (I bookmarked it).

Please stay in peace and many warm greetings from Holland.

Thank you for building a site that helps preserve and teach people about "Garifuna".  Both of my parents were born and raised in St. Vincent, as was my grandparents.  It is very important for my to understand where I came from, and because of you, I'm able to do that.

Peace and blessings,

According to MasterFisherman Balbino Palacio, - Seine Bight village was ideal for fishing but the peninsula was not so ideal for farming hence they found it neccesary to cross the lagoon west to the main land for more fertile farming land. They farmed near-by and went as far inland to where it is now George Town (then called Wahaleaf / California).
